Centrally located in the beautiful Luberon, lies the village of Roussillon. From the hill you get a nice view of the area and the other beautiful villages, including Gordes. In Roussillon they have for generations derived the pigment ocher, and the houses in the village is characterized by it – they are painted in 17 different shades of yellow, pink, orange and deep red. A visit to the ocher quarry is an experience that is well worth.
