Marineland at Antibes
Marineland is basically a giant aquarium with both indoor and outdoor pools. The aquarium is not only one of Europes largest, it is also the only place in Europe where you will be entertained by Kollar whales, next to the dolphins and sea lions.
In the same area you will find Marineland; Aquasplash, a giant water park, Kids Island which is a play area with lots of activities for kids of all ages, Adventure Golf, a mini golf course inspired by the stories of the famous science-fiction author Jules Verne.
Montpellier Zoo
There are several small and large zoos across the south of France, and one of the largest is the Montpellier Zoo, which has a number of small and large animals from around the world. Montpellier Zoo has a spectacular greenhouse that simulates no less than seven different climate zones, and contains over 500 different animals.
Especially the Amazonas part is popular, as it every other hour starts a deluge system which simulates a tropical rainstorm.
Dino Park
The Dinosaur Park in Le Cap d’Agde is the region’s first of its kind, with 26 exhibitions where you can watch the 45 automated dinosaurs. They have both light and sound effects that might be scary for small children.
There are also opportunities for guided tours in the park, and you will get an introduction to the development from the beginning of time until human development.
Village des Automates
Villages des Automates is an activity park especially for the very young. There is a variety of activities in the park the little ones can participate in, it is also particularly suitable for babies with changing units, microwave ovens for heating baby food, and hire of pushchairs.
The park also contains France’s largest indoor play area, devided into departments for different ages. The play park has a children’s section, and a youth division for the bigger kids with activities specially designed for them.
Sigean African Safari Park
Have you made the journey to the south of France in your own car or have rented one, Sigean African Safari Park might be a great option. One drives around the wild animals in the car, this is perfect also for the rainy days.
The park contains mainly African animals, and some of the animals you can see are elephants, rhinos, giraffes and lions, just to name a few.
